MLA vs MP vs corporator: who fixes your road?
Roads inside a city, potholes, street lights and drains are the municipal corporation's job, so your first call is your corporator. State highways sit with the state PWD, where the MLA has a say. National highways are the Centre's, through NHAI. An MP gets ₹5 crore a year under MPLADS but can only recommend works; the district administration carries them out.
